Duties:
- Keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Talk staff or customers through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Replace parts as required
- Participate in designing and implementation of various systems/application projects
- Troubleshoot DNS Service and DNS resolution issues
- Assist in management and support of internal and external DNS systems
- Act as a member of the Windows Active Directory Domain Administrator Support
- Troubleshoot Active Directory authentication and LDAP configuration issues
- Configure and support DNS for new domain
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
Qualifications and Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or any related field
- Minimum of 2yrs cognate experience
- Knowledge of system engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assess network/system performance and recommend changes
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with users, vendors and other IT staff.
