Duties:

  • Keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk staff or customers through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required
  • Participate in designing and implementation of various systems/application projects
  • Troubleshoot DNS Service and DNS resolution issues
  • Assist in management and support of internal and external DNS systems
  • Act as a member of the Windows Active Directory Domain Administrator Support 
  • Troubleshoot Active Directory authentication and LDAP configuration issues
  • Configure and support DNS for new domain
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or any related field
  • Minimum of 2yrs cognate experience 
  • Knowledge of system engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repairs, and troubleshooting
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assess network/system performance and recommend changes
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate with users, vendors and other IT staff.
