Roles and Responsibilities

User Support:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to requests for assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity.

Software Installation and Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  •  Ensure all software licensing agreements are adhered to.

Hardware Maintenance:

  • Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Coordinate and manage the POS activities for the field staff.

Security Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
  • Conduct regular security audits and updates.

Network Support:

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

Documentation:

  • Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics.

Remote Support:

  • Provide remote support for off-site employees and satellite offices.
  • Utilize remote desktop tools for efficient issue resolution.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to resolve complex issues.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the IT team.

IT Project Support:

  • Assist in the implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and rollouts.
  • Ensure project timelines and objectives are met.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Provide IT support in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
