Roles and Responsibilities
User Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to requests for assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.
Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems with desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity.
Software Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
- Ensure all software licensing agreements are adhered to.
Hardware Maintenance:
- Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Coordinate and manage the POS activities for the field staff.
Security Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
- Conduct regular security audits and updates.
Network Support:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Documentation:
- Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics.
Remote Support:
- Provide remote support for off-site employees and satellite offices.
- Utilize remote desktop tools for efficient issue resolution.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to resolve complex issues.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the IT team.
IT Project Support:
- Assist in the implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and rollouts.
- Ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
Customer Service:
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely issue resolution.
- Provide IT support in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
