Job Summary
- The IT/Web Officer at Oaken Events Limited plays a vital role in managing the company's digital presence, website development, online platforms, and IT systems to enhance customer engagement, streamline operations, and drive digital growth in event management.
- This position involves overseeing website maintenance, optimizing user experience, and implementing IT solutions to support marketing campaigns and event planning activities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the company's website, ensuring a user-friendly interface, mobile responsiveness, and up-to-date content as well as its subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to update event information, promotional materials, and multimedia content on the website.
- Assist in creating and executing digital marketing campaigns, email newsletters, social media strategies, and online advertising initiatives to promote events and attract attendees. a. Monitor website traffic, analyze user behavior, and leverage analytics tools to optimize marketing performance and conversion rates.
- IT System Integration and Support: Integrate IT systems, software applications, and digital tools to streamline event management processes, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support to staff members, troubleshoot website issues, and address IT[1]related challenges to maintain optimal performance.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Web Analytics: Optimize website content for search engines, enhance visibility, and improve search rankings through SEO strategies, keywords analysis, and metadata optimization.
- Monitor website performance metrics, track visitor engagement, and generate reports using web analytics tools to assess user behavior and enhance online presence.
- IT Security and Data Protection: Implement cybersecurity measures, data encryption protocols, and access controls to protect website assets, user information, and online transactions.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks to mitigate risks and ensure data protection standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or related field Hands-on experience in web development, content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla), and e-commerce platforms .
- 2 -5 years of work experience.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SEO best practices, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong communication skills, creative thinking, and project management abilities.
