Alaro City, is a mixed-income, city-scale development with areas for offices, logistics and warehousing, homes, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, entertainment and 150 hectares of parks and open spaces. Located in the North West Quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone, Alaro City lies in the growth path of Lagos, one of Africas fastest-growing cities with a population of over 20 million. Alaro City is adjacent to the future Lagos international airport and close to the regions largest deep-sea port and major Nigerian and international companies. Developed by Rendeavour, in partnership with the Lagos State Government, as a joint venture that boosts foreign direct investment in Nigeria and will create tens of thousands of jobs. Rendeavour is Africas largest new city developer. We are building 7 new cities across our 12,000-hectare portfolio spread across 5 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. These cities are providing homes, education, healthcare facilities and industrial parks within a well-planned urban environment, delivering new roads and utilities such as power, water and sewerage to our communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, Nigeria, the Marcoms Operations & Research Associate, performs market research to inform business plans, enable business development, and enable informed decision-making.
  • Leads efforts to populate the CRM with new targets.
  • Manages marcom budgets and manages procurement activities for the marcom team, including acquiring goods and services and managing associated payments.
  • Oversees the planning and execution of internal and external events.
  • Leads the preparation of reports, presentations, and special projects for the department.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in marketing operations, research, or a related role (typically 2-5 years).
  • Proven experience in conducting market research to inform business plans and facilitate business development.
  • Ability to lead efforts to populate the CRM with new targets.
  • Financial acumen and experience in managing marketing budgets.
  • Procurement skills, including acquiring goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing associated payments.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute both internal and external events.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in preparing reports, presentations, and special projects for the marketing and communications department.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market research data and provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the marketing and communications team and other departments.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
