FinTech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR) is a self-regulatory, not-for-profit and non-political organisation incorporated in Nigeria by the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC and a member of the global body Global Fintech Hubs Federation.

Job Description:

  • As a Volunteer, you will work closely with the brand and communications team to implement various strategies to promote the Nigeria Fintech Week 2024.
  • Your primary role will be to support the team in executing promotional activities across different channels, including website management, social media, email marketing, content creation, and collaboration with influencers, among others.

Responsibilities

Website Management:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the dedicated event website.
  • Ensure the website is visually appealing, user-friendly, and regularly updated with relevant information about the event.
  • Collaborate with the team to create engaging content for the website, such as speaker profiles, agenda highlights, and registration details.

Social Media:

  • Help create and schedule social media posts across platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Assist in crafting engaging captions, hashtags, and multimedia content (images, videos) to generate interest and buzz around the event.
  • Monitor and engage with social media comments, messages, and interactions.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop a comprehensive content calendar.

Email Marketing:

  • Support the team in building and maintaining an email list of potential attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, media partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in creating personalized and compelling email newsletters and updates about the event.
  • Help with tracking and analyzing email campaign performance.

Content Creation:

  • Contribute to the creation of informative and engaging content, such as blog articles, whitepapers, infographics, and videos.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop content that positions the event as a thought leader in the fintech space.
  • Assist in publishing and sharing content on the event website and social media platforms.

Collaboration with Influencers and Media:

  • Support the team in identifying and reaching out to industry influencers for guest blog posts, interviews, and social media mentions.
  • Assist in preparing press releases, articles, and interview materials for media outlets.
  • Help track media coverage and engagement.

Event Support:

  • Provide on-site support during the Nigeria Fintech Week, including coverage of sessions, capturing photos and videos, and engaging with attendees.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools.
  • Basic understanding of content creation.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Prior experience in event promotion or marketing is a plus but not required.
  • Interest in the fintech industry and technology trends is a plus but not required.
