Job Objective:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of in-depth experience in network administration. The ideal candidate should hold a CISCO Certification or equivalent the role is pivotal in maintaining and optimising our organisation’s network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, security and efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage the organization’s local and wide-area networks (LANs and WANs)
- Ensure network architecture meets current and future business requirements
- Network Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organisation’s networks and systems
- Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary measures to address vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates and patches to ensure optimal network performance
- Hardware and Software Management: Manage network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls and other networking equipment
- Collaborate with IT teams to install, configure and maintain network-related software
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes and incidents
- Provide regular reports on network performance and security
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator.
Experience & Skills:
- CISCO Certification (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) is required
- Solid understanding of network protocols, topologies and security principles
- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Experience with cloud networking solutions and services
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
