Job Description

  • To plan, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize network hardware and software and communication links.
  • To handle and networking infrastructure of CRC to improve the efficiency. Responsible for the down time and uptime of the CRC network.
  • To identify and remediate the potential security threats and assesses network vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Manage network hardware which includes routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPN concentrators, multiplexers, and UPS systems
  • Administer security-related systems such as VPN servers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network monitoring systems
  • Monitor VPNs, server and firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and take appropriate action
  • Recommend and schedule network improvements, upgrades and repairs
  • Evaluate and recommend new networking and security products and technologies for use at CRC
  • Implement security standards, foresee potential security threats and avoid them.
  • Responsible for implementation of Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Implement firewalls and information security policy
  • Conduct network vulnerability tests and perform periodic security audits and assessments
  • Liaison with vendors on all services and upgrades provided by them to CRC.
  • Management of the service switching between primary and secondary sites.
  • Monitoring of virtual servers hosting the individual components of the application and ensuring optimal utilization of the resources.
  • Management of VMWare virtual servers
  • Maintain and administer all Data/ Voice communications with their respective systems and equipment
  • Supervise and control the internet and intranet servers
  • Ensure network and IP connectivity of workstations, servers, and back-end office infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve local and wide area network problems and performance issues
  • Define, develop and implement network security measures.
  • Define and implement information security guidelines
  • Responsible for User-ID management and password management
  • Responsible for the implementation and administration of business and work tools to employees
  • Administer and implement physical & logical access at CRC
  • Assure security policies, processes, tools and architectures
  • Monitoring the network constantly for security threats
  • Manage CRC’s IT Infrastructure including maintenance and replacement as may be required

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline with a minimum of 5 years database management experience
  • Have good knowledge of storage infrastructure administration
  • Strong background as an Engineer/Architect in application security infrastructure and various network technologies to include devices such as firewalls, VPN, intrusion/extrusion detection, vulnerability & risk assessment tools, encryption technologies, virus/worm/malware prevention.
  • Managing network/ network security and should be current with network security best practices and global trends.
  • Experience in researching new or emerging technologies and processes that may be incorporated as solutions to reoccurring security concern.
