About the Role?
- As an Intern Copy Editor, your primary responsibility is to review and edit written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established style guidelines.
- This role involves correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax errors and refining sentence structure and overall readability.
- You will also be involved in fact-checking, verifying sources, and collaborating with other writers to refine their work.
Job description?
- The AWiMNews copy editor will be required to:
- Proofread AWiMNews content for errors and inconsistencies.
- Edit and polish existing content on AWiMNews to improve readability.
- Carry out research and verify the factual correctness of information, such as dates and statistics.
- Publish content on AWiMNews website.
- Document and update the AWiMNews style guide.?
- The incumbent will be expected to fulfil other associated duties as required within the scope of the position.
Key Requirements and Qualification??
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- A degree in English language, mass communication or a related discipline.??
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel.?
- Communication skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.?
- Knowledge of women-related issues.?
