Job Description
- As a Penetration Tester at Ethnos Cyber Limited, you will perform security assessments, simulate real-world attacks, and help improve clients’ security postures.
- Your role will involve identifying vulnerabilities in applications, networks, and systems while providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
Responsibilities
- Perform penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Simulate cyberattacks, including vulnerability exploitation and post-exploitation scenarios.
- Develop and deliver detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, risks, and recommended remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal security teams and clients to understand business risks and design secure solutions.
- Assist in developing custom scripts or tools to automate security testing processes.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, exploits, and trends in the cybersecurity landscape.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on risk mitigation and vulnerability management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, or red teaming.
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, and Wireshark.
- Strong understanding of common attack vectors and vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, network security, social engineering).
- Relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, GPEN) are a plus.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under minimal supervision.
