Moniepoint Inc.Lagos, Nigeria Digital Marketing
Full Time
Moniepoint is a financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a financial ecosystem for businesses, providing them with all the payment, banking, credit and business management tools they need to succeed.

Job Purpose

The Regional Security Manager ensures that our mission never stops. You are the guardian of our physical spaces, ensuring that every Moniepoint office is a sanctuary where our team can build and create without worry.

By leading regional security operations, managing on-ground teams, and proactively identifying risks, you provide the stability and safety that allows financial happiness to thrive. You don't just react to incidents; you build the systems that prevent them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard our People and Assets: Lead the implementation of security policies that protect our team, offices, and equipment across your region.
  • Master the Environment: Conduct regular security assessments to spot vulnerabilities and design innovative strategies to reduce risk.
  • Lead the Front Line: Supervise and mentor private security guards and armed police personnel, ensuring they perform their duties with mastery and respect.
  • Build Strong Alliances: Act as our primary liaison with law enforcement and emergency services, ensuring we always have a seat at the table during emergencies.
  • Investigate and Solve: Lead the response to security breaches and accidents, providing clear, factual reports that help us learn and improve.
  • Empower the Team: Design and deliver training programs that equip our security personnel and employees with life-saving protocols.
  • Innovate for Safety: Stay ahead of security trends and technology (like CCTV and access control) to keep our regional operations modern and resilient.
  • Support Business Resilience: Provide expert guidance on asset recovery and fraud investigation when the business needs your mastery.

Qualifications

  • Professional Background: Should have at least 7 years of experience successfully leading a security team in a guard services/physical security company, or have 7 years of experience as an ex-commissioned service personnel supervisor—either in the military, police, or paramilitary.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Certification: You hold a recognized security certification such as CPP, PSP, or CPO.
  • Integrity: A clean criminal record and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check are essential.
  • Language & Culture: You speak the local dialects of the major tribes in your assigned region, allowing you to connect with the community.
  • Good experience working with automated security systems like CCTV cameras, burglary alarm systems, etc.

About You

  • You are a Hero: You are driven by mastery and the desire to protect others. People count on you to come through when things get tough.
  • You are Relatable: You don’t hide behind technical jargon. You communicate clearly and build trust with everyone, from the security guards to the executive team.
  • You are Proactive: You don’t wait for things to go wrong. You have the "Creator" spirit, always looking for better ways to secure our future.
  • You are composed: In high-pressure situations, you are the calmest person in the room. You lead with facts, not emotions.

What Success Looks Like

  • Zero Preventable Incidents: Our regional offices remain safe, secure, and fully operational.
  • High Readiness: Security personnel are well-trained and respond to drills or real-world events with 100% precision.
  • Strong Community Ties: You have built a network of local stakeholders that helps Moniepoint navigate regional risks effectively.
  • Operational Excellence: Security technology is 100% functional, and documentation is factual, honest, and actionable.
