Purpose of Position

The primary purpose is to utilize data-driven approaches to enhance the organization’s understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and operational performance. Ultimately, the role aims to support evidence-based decision-making, leading to more informed and effective strategies that positively impact the organization’s goals and outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

  • Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to streamline the collection process.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Provide insightful data interpretations to support business strategy.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Provide actionable insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for different business functions.
  • Set targets for KPIs and track performance against goals.
  • Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to effectively communicate findings.
  • Develop and implement predictive models to forecast future trends.
  • Evaluate model accuracy and refine as necessary to achieve a minimum of 85%.
  • Analyze competitor data and market benchmarks.
  • Provide insights to enhance competitive positioning and market share.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand data needs and provide relevant insights.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Proven experience in data analysis and research
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Strong understanding of database management and SQL
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field; master’s degree.

Professional Qualification

  • Relevant data Analysis Certifications.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 4 years in Research and Data Analyst.
