Job Summary:

  • The Senior Studio Manager will oversee the operational and strategic management of a state-of-the-art studio complex, which includes a soundstage, two podcast studios, an acoustic recording studio, a Dolby Atmos studio, a restaurant lounge, and office space. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas run smoothly, meet client expectations, and help drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all studio spaces, ensuring smooth function and optimal use of resources.
  • Coordinate schedules for studio bookings, ensuring all facilities are properly prepped and maintained for each client.
  • Implement and maintain procedures for technical support and troubleshooting across the studios.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Client and Partner Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and partners.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of satisfaction through excellent communication and service delivery.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and industry professionals to encourage repeat business.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of studio personnel, including engineers, technicians, hospitality staff, and administrative support.
  • Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment by motivating and developing staff.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and manage team dynamics to maintain high standards.

Business Development and Strategy:

  • Identify opportunities to increase studio usage and maximize revenue from each space.
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract new business, including corporate clients, production companies, and creative teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the studio’s capabilities through online and offline channels.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage studio budgets, including cost control, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and develop strategies to improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist with pricing strategy, negotiating deals, and finalizing contracts with clients.

Technical and Facility Oversight:

  • Ensure all technical equipment is functioning correctly, is up-to-date, and meets industry standards.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of both studio equipment and physical spaces.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure high-quality service and materials.

Event and Hospitality Management:

  • Oversee the operations of the restaurant lounge and other event spaces, ensuring they align with the studio’s branding and client needs.
  • Manage special events, film shoots, and productions to provide a seamless client experience.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on studio performance, usage, and profitability.
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as contract management, legal compliance, and HR duties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, entertainment management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a media production facility, recording studio, or related operation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard audio/visual equipment and best practices.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with a proven track record of maintaining and growing client relationships.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial planning, and reporting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on studio bookings.
