Job Summary

  • The Social Media/Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for managing the pharmacy’s online presence, driving brand awareness, increasing customer engagement, and supporting sales through effective digital strategies.
  • The role involves creating health-related content, promoting in-store services, engaging customers across social platforms, and ensuring consistent brand representation.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management:

  • Plan, create and publish engaging posts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter), WhatsApp Channel, and other platforms.
  • Develop weekly/monthly social media calendars.
  • Create pharmacy-appropriate content (health tips, product highlights, promotions, awareness days).
  • Respond to comments, DMs, inquiries, and reviews promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor trends relevant to healthcare, wellness, and retail pharmacy.

Content Creation:

  • Design eye-catching graphics, videos, reels, and product photography.
  • Create educational content on medications, supplements, health conditions, and pharmacy services (under pharmacist guidance where needed).
  • Write captions and copy that reflect the brand tone.

Digital Marketing & Sales Support:

  • Run targeted ads (Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads) to boost pharmacy visibility and drive sales.
  • Promote new products, price deals, and in-store/online services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to push high-demand or seasonal products.

Website & E-Commerce Support (if applicable):

  • Upload products and maintain accurate descriptions, prices, and photos.
  • Track online orders and coordinate with the store for timely fulfillment.
  • Monitor web analytics (traffic, engagement, conversions).

Customer Engagement & Brand Building:

  • Manage WhatsApp Broadcast/WhatsApp Business for customer outreach.
  • Build and grow online community engagement.
  • Work with pharmacists to generate trusted health information for the customer base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, or related field (preferred).
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in social media/digital marketing.
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy, FMCG, or healthcare environment is an added advantage.
