Job Overview:
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to manage our social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing our social media pages, writing blog posts, and working to engage with our online community. This person should be skilled in content creation, social media trends, and digital marketing strategies, with a strong understanding of how to engage an online audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Curation:
- Develop creative and engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube etc.).
- Create and edit graphics, videos, and other multimedia content to complement social media posts.
- Stay on top of trending topics in the ICT and education sector to create timely and relevant content.
- Write compelling copy for posts, ads, and stories.
Social Media Management:
- Manage and grow the social media accounts, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
- Schedule, publish, and monitor posts to increase engagement and reach.
- Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
Blog Writing & SEO:
- Write and publish high-quality blog posts related to ICT trends, educational resources, and academy offerings.
- Implement SEO best practices to optimize blog content for search engines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure blog content aligns with the overall marketing strategy.
Community Engagement & Brand Building:
- Build and foster a community around the academy’s brand.
- Encourage user-generated content and share success stories from students.
- Collaborate with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders to expand reach.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor and report on social media KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, Facebook Insights) to track the effectiveness of social media efforts.
- Regularly report on content performance and provide suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in the education or ICT sector.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to write compelling and grammatically correct content for blogs and social media.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimization.
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance and adjust strategies.
- Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for education and technology is a plus.
