About the Role
- This is a 3-month provisional contract-based role, with a goal of conversion to a long-term position at the end of the provisional period.
- It is a Software Engineer I role, so applicants from all backgrounds are eligible, from recently graduated students to industry veterans.
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about what we are doing and is eager to jump in, learn how to work within our cutting-edge technical systems, and begin driving major impact quickly.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the development and enhancement of onboarding controls and fraud detection systems.
- Work on integrating vendor solutions to streamline compliance processes.
- Support the team in implementing and improving anti-spoofing models, document verification systems, and authentication solutions.
- Collaborate on transaction monitoring and watchlists screening solutions to meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enhance compliance tooling to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance operations.
- Contribute to data transformation using tools like DBT to support risk analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, fraud, and engineering, to ensure systems are effective and scalable.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in TypeScript, NodeJS for building scalable solutions.
- A strong interest in learning and working on compliance technology, fraud prevention, document verification, and authentication systems.
Nice to have Skills:
- Knowledge of Python for backend scripting and automation.
- Experience or familiarity with React Native
- Understanding of DBT or similar data transformation and pipeline tools.
- Experience working with Large Language Models ****(LLMs) and their applications in compliance or risk analysis.
