Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Switch /Billing Network Engineer to join our technical team. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our network infrastructure within the Network Operations Center (NOC) while also ensuring accurate and efficient billing operations. This role combines your technical skills with a strong understanding of billing processes, making you a vital part of our network's smooth operation and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor network performance and identify potential issues through various monitoring tools and alerts.
  • Provide 24/7 network monitoring and support on all operational Core network equipment.
  • Perform operations and maintenance on core network elements to achieve network availability.
  • Facilitate the integration of new network nodes.
  • Implement change requests, resolve fault escalations and ensure TTs are accurately closed within MTTR.
  • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of all SIP connections.
  • Ensure routine and corrective maintenance on SIP nodes.
  • Generate incidence reports for core network occurrences Daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Implement software upgrades and hardware replacements on core networks.
  • Perform network impact analyses of change requests and software upgrades on core nodes.
  • Perform daily network traffic and KPI trend analysis reports.
  • Carry out periodic audits on core network nodes and B number analyses.
  • Perform periodic service tests on the network.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems, ensuring network uptime and user satisfaction.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and identify opportunities for optimization and performance improvement.
  • Implement changes and configurations to the network infrastructure as needed, following proper change management procedures.
  • Collaborate with other network support teams to ensure efficient problem resolution.
  • Analyze and investigate discrepancies in billing CDR and work towards resolving them promptly.
  • Configure and maintain billing systems to ensure accurate and efficient billing cycles.
  • Generate reports on network usage and billing metrics for various stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations related to billing practices.
