Job Summary

  • The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of IT systems, servers, networks, and related infrastructure. This role ensures the seamless functioning of IT services, security, and performance while providing technical support to users and managing server resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and diagnose software and hardware within the Datacenter
  • Develop and implement network maintenance standard operating procedure
  • Manage network, servers and technology tools
  • Set up user accounts and account modifications
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backup and firewalls
  • Ensure the reliable performance of the ERP systems
  • Troubleshoots and resolves any ERP-related hardware, software, user access or other problems
  • Take periodic backup of IT resources in the data center
  • Monitor the power resources assigned to power the data centre (Inverter System, Generator etc)
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of system administration experience, or a combination of oil & gas and experience commensurate with the requirements of the position.
  • Operational knowledge of network and routing protocols
  • Operational knowledge of LINUX, and Windows Server operating systems
  • Operational knowledge of server virtualization and virtual desktop technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers, and peripheral equipment

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (for cloud environments).
  • CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent for virtualization expertise.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) for network management.
