Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Ensure system security by implementing security protocols, access controls, and conducting risk assessments.
- Automate system administration tasks and develop scripts or applications to streamline processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree /Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and networking protocols.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud computing.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and IT security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
