Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/master's degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in network administration, with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience in multi-location network management (preferably in banking/finance)

Certifications:

  • CCNA/CCNP
  • Network
  • ITIL

Skills & Attributes

Expertise in:

Stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills. Proven track record in navigating banking regulations while delivering iteratively.

  • Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • SD-WAN technologies
  • Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
  • VPN and remote access solutions
  • Banking network security requirements
  • Cloud networking concepts

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Oversee LAN/WAN administration for all subsidiary locations (branches, remote offices, digital banking units)
    • Manage network equipment inventory and health monitoring across subsidiaries
    • Ensure 99.9% network uptime for critical financial operations
    Operational Excellence
    • Serve as primary escalation point for all subsidiary network issues
    • Coordinate with headquarters IT teams on infrastructure standards and upgrades
    • Manage relationships with third-party network providers servicing subsidiaries innovative solutions.
    Security & Compliance
    • Implement and maintain firewall policies across subsidiary networks
    • Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 and other regulatory requirements
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management
    Innovation & Modernisation
    • Lead a team of network support specialists serving subsidiary locations
    • Develop training programs to enhance team technical capabilities
    • Implement performance metrics and service level agreements (SLAs)
    • Plan and execute network capacity upgrades to support subsidiary growth
    • Drive automation initiatives to improve remote network management
    • Participate in disaster recovery planning for subsidiary operations
    Team & Stakeholder Management
    • Promote continuous learning through training, certifications,
    • Monitor and report on team performance, project milestones, and ROI.
