Job Description

  • Provide strategic marketing support and execution that will expand the retail business through marketing & communications in the African Subsidiaries
  • Support retail marketing strategy and communications as well as corporate communications oversight for the African subsidiaries.
  • Support strategy and policy direction for internal and external communications of the African subsidiaries, including advertising, branding and image management
  • Develop and implement Strategic brand management plans working with all heads of Comms in the respective African markets and ensure compliance across all businesses of the group.
  • Provide support for Marketing communications and advertising strategies for the Africa Subsidiaries businesses to achieve business brand objectives
  • Provide oversight for corporate social responsibility strategy and programs from the Africa subsidiaries
  • Provide support to Africa Subsidiaries management on strategic communications, crisis communication, issues management etc.
  • Manage relationships with key Africa and international media representatives.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

Regular/Routine  

  • Support the establishment of strategy and policy direction for the African subsidiaries working with the Group marketing and Group Corporate communications as regards internal and external communications and corporate relations, including publicity and public relations, advertising, branding and image management
  • Support articulation of brand goals and objectives and provide leadership for African subsidiaries with respect to marketing & Communications.
  • Reinforce guidelines for and ensure compliance for brand standardization and quality control and audit across the African subsidiaries
  • Work with the Group Marketing & Comms and Group Corporate Comms to define and execute clear objectives and KPIs for marketing & Comms heads across the African Subsidiaries.
  • Work with the Sustainability team at Access Corporation to define corporate social responsibility strategies and project definition/execution including budget allocation and management for the African subsidiaries.
  • Track brand/perception indicators across the Africa business in line with established KPIs set by Group and Corporation.
  • Ensure uniform and excellent execution of marketing campaigns across the Africa business with set goals based on business objectives.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the Head of Marketing African Subsidiaries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education : A first degree and membership of a recognized Marketing and/or public relations institute
  •  Formal Training  :  Strategic Marketing/Public Relations/Digital Marketing
  • Minimum Experience : 5 years cognate experience in a financial institution, with  a minimum of 6 years in marketing communications
