Job Summary

The Technical Project Manager within the Enterprise Architecture department of the bank will be responsible for leading and managing technology projects that support the bank's strategic initiatives and align with its enterprise architecture framework. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business units and IT departments to ensure successful project delivery within scope and schedule, while adhering to architectural standards and best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of technology projects within the enterprise architecture domain. 
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations in collaboration with stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate project activities, track progress, and manage risks and issues to ensure timely and successful delivery. 
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. 
  • Manage expectations and provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables. 
  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for project initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and standards. 
  • Work closely with enterprise architects, solution designers and PMO to translate requirements into actionable project plans and deliverables. 
  • Coordinate resources, within IT, contractors, and third-party vendors, to ensure adequate staffing and skill sets for project execution. 
  • Allocate IT resources effectively and manage dependencies to optimize project outcomes and minimize risks. 
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess IT project performance and adherence to architectural guidelines. 
  • Engage with IT stakeholders to address concerns, mitigate resistance, and drive organizational change in alignment with project objectives. 

QUALIFICATION

Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or certification in project management is a plus.

Specialized Knowledge    

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). 

Skills    

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate project risks and issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional project teams and driving results in complex, dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • People skills, team player, ability to use Visio or Draw.io, Good with presentation and developing presentation documents.

Professional Certification    A relevant certification in any information systems, Project management or related certification

Experience    

  • 10 years proven experience in technical project management roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to technology initiatives is an advantage.
