Leveraging more than a decade of experience, the company was formed by the divestment of the telecommunications services division of Telnet Nigeria Limited and has been in operation for many years. ipNX currently provides a range of communications and IT services to Corporate organizations within Nigeria on its IP (Internet Protocol) based communications network using both radio and satellite communications technologies. As part of its growth strategy, ipNX seeks to also extend its services to small and medium sized businesses and residential customers. In the long term, ipNX has determined that it needs also to have a strategic presence in the wire line market to ensure that we will be able to provide future services, which require high bandwidth in the last mile.

Job Description

  • Ensure efficient service delivery to customers and customer satisfaction for all new and old services and support related services on the wireless platform.

Corporate Customers Responsibilities

  • Restore service failures within 4 hours of occurrence.
  • Implement and integrate new projects.

Incident Management Communication:

  • Provide prompt feedback for input into the OTRS Application.
  • Include information relating to activities to resolve customer service incidents.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Identify, plan, and execute preventive maintenance on nodes/segments in the network.

Standard Installation on Wireless Links:

  • Perform standard installation on core backbone radio and customer links.
  • Prepare as-maintained documentation and generate configuration database for efficient network management in the region/subregion for the O&M Unit.

Survey Reports:

  • Ensure comprehensive survey reports for new customer link deployment or relocation of existing ones.
  • Submit support status reports as fault dockets for review.

Key Competencies

  • Technical Site Survey (TSS) on wireless radio platforms using tools like GPS, Binocular, Compasses, and Microwave link budget software for data collection and analysis.
  • Implementation and integration of new radio and microwave links.
  • Radio: License and license-exempt implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure JCC (Job Completion Certificates) are signed off and submitted to the Billing Unit for subsequent invoicing.
  • Basic knowledge of IP network design, implementation, and maintenance to support voice and data.
  • Good rigging skills in radio technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of antenna technology.
  • Basic knowledge of frequencies and modulation schemes.
  • Very good knowledge of various cable and connector types and the termination of connectors.
  • Adequate computer knowledge.
  • Recommend and modify network configuration to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
