Job Responsibilities
- Host and present TV shows, programs, or segments
- Engage with guests, interviewees, or co-hosts in a professional and charismatic manner
- Deliver scripted or unscripted content, including news, introductions, and links
- Conduct research and prepare for shows, including reading scripts, briefing notes, and background information
- Develop and maintain a strong on-screen presence, including tone, pace, and body language
- Interact with studio audiences, respond to questions, and handle live situations
- Collaborate with production teams, including producers, directors, and crew members
- Participate in rehearsals, planning meetings, and debriefing sessions
- Stay up-to-date with current events, trends, and industry developments
- Promote the TV show or program on social media and at public events
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in TV presenting, broadcasting, or a related field
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- On-screen presence: Confident, charismatic, and engaging on-screen presence
- Research skills: Ability to research and prepare for shows
- Improvisation skills: Ability to think on your feet and handle live situations
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with production teams
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including last-minute script changes
- Time management: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Education: Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (desirable)
- Additional skills: Ability to use teleprompters, earpieces, and other broadcasting equipment
