Job Description

  • We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editing Officer to join our dynamic team.
  • As a Video Editing Officer, you will be responsible for bringing visual storytelling to life through the art of video editing.
  • The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of storytelling, and proficiency in video editing software.

Responsibilities

  • Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into a polished, compelling, and visually appealing final product.
  • Storytelling: Collaborate with content creators to understand the narrative and effectively convey the intended message through video editing.
  • Creative Input: Bring creative ideas to the table, contributing to the development of engaging video content across various platforms.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all videos meet high-quality standards in terms of visual and audio elements, pacing, and overall storytelling.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, graphic designers, and marketing teams, to deliver cohesive and impactful video content.
  • Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver edited videos within specified deadlines.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • OND / HND / B.Sc. in any related fields with 1 year of experience.
  • A candidate who possesses an SSCE or training certificate in related fields with strong practical knowledge in media publication, graphics & video editing, as well as good written and oral communication skills, can apply as priority will be given on the ability to deliver on the job.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of editing styles and projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other industry-standard tools.
  • Creativity: acreative mindset with a strong sense of storytelling and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are needed to work effectively within a team.
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of the final product.
  • Adaptability:the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to meet tight deadlines.

Desirable:

  • The ideal candidate must reside within the Sango Ota Ogun State or Lagos environs and must have experience in ICT with strong use of at least one graphic design software (Corel Draw, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop), in addition to videoediting software, as well as internet-based applications such as Canva, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google.
  • Proficiency in video shooting and coverage will be an added advantage
