- The Video Editor will be responsible for editing, and delivering high-quality video content that aligns with the company’s brand and marketing goals. This role involves conceptualizing and execute video projects, managing the post-production process, and ensuring that all video content meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into polished, professional-quality video content for various platforms, including web, social media, and broadcast.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure that video content aligns with the company’s brand and messaging.
- Apply advanced editing techniques, including color correction, sound editing, and motion graphics, to enhance the overall quality of the videos.
- Ensure all video projects are delivered on time and meet the required technical and creative standards.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Assist in the development of best practices and workflows for the editing team to ensure efficiency and consistency in output.
- Contribute to the creative direction of video projects by providing input on storyboards, shot lists, and visual styles.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in video editing and post-production.
- Experiment with new editing techniques and tools to continuously improve the quality and impact of the company’s video content.
- Ensure final edits are review and approve before they are delivered to clients or published on company platforms.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and meets the company’s quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the editing process.
- Proficiently use industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Maintain and organize video files and project assets for easy retrieval and archiving.
- Ensure that all video content is optimized for various platforms, including web, social media, and mobile.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven work experience (3+ years) as a video editor in a professional environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in editing content for web, social media, and broadcast platforms.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of advanced editing techniques, including color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and special effects.
- Familiarity with video optimization for different platforms, such as social media, web, and mobile.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate concepts into engaging video content.
- A keen eye for detail, composition, and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to provide creative input on storyboards and visual styles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving ability, including troubleshooting technical challenges during post-production.
- Awareness of current trends and best practices in video editing, social media platforms, and digital storytelling
- Familiarity with media formats, codecs, and output specifications.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of video projects that highlight technical expertise and creative abilities.
