Job Summary

  • The Website Developer will design, develop, and maintain the organization’s website.
  • This role requires a strong background in web development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • The ideal candidate will create user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional websites that align with our mission and engage our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the organization's website.
  • Collaborate with the design and content teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages.
  • Ensure the website is optimized for various devices and browsers.
  • Implement and manage content management systems (CMS).
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance to ensure website security and functionality.
  • Monitor website performance and implement improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
  • Optimize website content for search engines (SEO).
  • Integrate third-party tools and applications as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in web development.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) is a plus.
