The Institution was established in the late 1980s as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by Godwin Ehigiamusoe in response to the effects of the implementation of the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) in 1986. In 2010, LAPO MfB obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to operate as a state microfinance bank and in 2012, it got an approval as a national microfinance bank. Key Responsibilities:
- Application Installation & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications according to vendor specifications and organizational standards.
- Deploy application updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Manage application configurations and settings.
- User Management & Support:
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Provide technical support to end-users on application usage and troubleshooting.
- Resolve application-related issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate teams or vendors.
- Develop and deliver user training materials and documentation.
- Application Monitoring & Performance:
- Monitor application performance and identify potential issues.
- Analyze application logs and performance metrics.
- Implement performance tuning and optimization measures.
- Proactively identify and resolve application bottlenecks.
- Security Administration:
- Implement and enforce application security policies and procedures.
- Manage user access and permissions to applications.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure application security best practices are followed.
- Data Management & Backup:
- Manage application data and ensure data integrity.
- Implement and manage application data backup and recovery procedures.
- Perform data migrations and conversions as needed.
- Vendor Management (if applicable):
- Liaise with application vendors for support and maintenance.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for applications.
- Generate reports on application performance, usage, and issues.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Participate in application testing and quality assurance activities.
- Test application updates and patches before deployment.
- Change Management:
- Follow change management procedures for application deployments and updates.
- Communicate application changes to users and stakeholders.
