Description

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Apps Manager to join our client in the Oil and Gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and management of application systems that support the company's operations and business objectives. You will lead a team of developers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and enhance applications that optimize user experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the application development life cycle from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers and application specialists.
• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and develop application solutions that align with business goals.
• Ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and designed with user experience in mind.
• Manage and optimize application performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback to the development team to ensure best practices are followed.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance the application ecosystem.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless application integration.
• Prepare and present reports on application performance and project status to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in application development or management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in various programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to Java, .NET, or Python.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile and DevOps.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and deployment platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Project management experience is a plus, with relevant certifications considered an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
