Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Nairametrics’ overall content strategy to support brand growth, audience engagement, and business goals.
- Lead the editorial, NM TV, and digital media content teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven, and impactful content across all platforms.
- Ensure content aligns with the company’s voice, mission, and standards of accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee planning and production of articles, podcasts, newsletters, webinars, and social media content.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, marketing, research, and content teams to align content with organizational priorities and campaigns.
- Use analytics to measure content performance and drive continuous improvement through data insights.
- Supervise and mentor editors, writers, and content producers to maintain high editorial standards and creative excellence.
- Drive SEO, engagement, and distribution strategies to expand Nairametrics’ audience reach and influence.
- Manage the editorial calendar and ensure timely publication of content that reflects major business, economic, and financial developments.
- Stay abreast of trends in digital publishing, financial journalism, and audience behaviour to innovate new content formats and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (8+ years) in content leadership, ideally within media, finance, or digital publishing.
- Strong editorial judgment and understanding of the Nigerian and global business landscape.
- Demonstrable experience developing and managing a content strategy that drives measurable growth.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Deep understanding of SEO, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush), and digital distribution channels.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and brand-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
