Role Summary
- The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the organization’s security strategy, policies, and programs.
- The role ensures the protection of staff, assets, information, and facilities across all business operations, while aligning with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Security Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and frameworks to safeguard company assets, personnel, and infrastructure.
- Advise senior management on emerging risks, threats, and vulnerabilities affecting the organization.
- Establish crisis management, incident response, and business continuity plans.
Operational Security Management:
- Oversee daily security operations across all company locations, subsidiaries, and distribution channels.
- Manage security personnel, including recruitment, training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct regular audits, patrols, and inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Implement and maintain access control systems, surveillance, and monitoring technologies.
Risk, Compliance & Investigation:
- Identify and assess security risks, fraud, and threats to the business.
- Lead investigations into security breaches, theft, and misconduct, with clear reporting and escalation.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company security policies.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and relevant agencies when required.
People & Stakeholder Management:
- Train and sensitize staff on security awareness, emergency response, and workplace safety protocols.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments to ensure security measures support business goals.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including government and security agencies, to strengthen organizational resilience.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Security Studies, Criminology, Law, Business Administration, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) are an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive security management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Corporate or industrial security background preferred.
