Role Overview:
- LagosMums is seeking a creative and motivated Content Manager to join our team. This is an entry-level, full-time remote role ideal for someone passionate about content creation, social media management, and digital marketing. The Content Manager will play a key role in developing and executing content strategies, curating high-quality content, and ensuring a consistent flow of engaging and informative material across multiple platforms. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure our content supports the company's business objectives and resonates with our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement content strategies aligned with LagosMums' mission and goals
- Oversee the editorial calendar and ensure the timely publication of blog posts, newsletters, and social media content
- Repurpose long-form content, such as blog articles, into digestible formats (e.g., social media carousels, newsletters, podcasts)
- Write engaging blog posts for the LagosMums website, focused on parenting and family topics
- Create short video content for social media platforms
- Produce weekly content for social media, including posts, carousels, and videos
- Write and manage weekly newsletters to keep the audience informed and engaged
- Analyze content performance and adjust strategies based on data insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with business objectives
- Assist with basic graphic design and content editing as needed
- Utilize AI tools to enhance content creation and streamline processes
- Curate relevant reels and videos for resharing across our platforms.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience or strong interest in content strategy, creation, and management
- Proficiency in content curation and editorial management
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with video creation and editing using tools like CapCut, Canva, and Riverside FM
- Ability to create graphics using Canva
- Proficiency in using AI tools for content creation and editing
- Prior experience or interest in working with a content creator
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
