JOB SUMMARY

  • As a Core Banking Application and Database Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance of our banking applications and databases.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, optimal performance, and data security across all the systems.
  • This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Oversee the deployment of new applications and database updates, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 
  • Log management and application observability. 
  • Monitor application and database performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed. 
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data management, security, and compliance. 
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers to ensure the quality and reliability of external systems. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure the seamless integration of applications across the organization, optimizing efficiency and user experience. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align application strategies with organizational goals. 
  • Manage and optimize the organization's database infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. 
  • Implement and enforce database best practices, standards, and policies. 
  • Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and backups. 
  • Drive the planning and execution of projects related to enterprise application and database management. 
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.

JOB EXPERIENCE

Educational Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 
  • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) and/or IT Service Delivery (ITIL). 

Experience Requirements 

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in enterprise application and database management. 
  • Core Banking application and database management experience especially Finacle, FINEdge or other similar core banking applications 
  • Application monitoring, Troubleshooting and Problem-solving experience
