Job Summary
- The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communication strategies that enhance the company’s reputation, brand, and stakeholder engagement.
- This role oversees media relations, crisis communications, content creation, and executive communications, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Ensure brand consistency in all messaging, visual identity, and communication channels.
Media Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and PR agencies.
- Draft press releases, media advisories, and handle press inquiries.
Crisis Communication:
- Serve as the point of contact for crisis communications.
- Develop and execute crisis communication plans, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Internal Communications:
- Create and disseminate internal communications to improve employee engagement.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to support internal campaigns and announcements.
Content Development:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content including speeches, newsletters, reports, social media posts, and web content.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, copywriters, and external consultants when necessary.
Digital & Social Media Management:
- Develop digital communication strategies to enhance online presence.
- Oversee the company’s social media channels and monitor engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Support strategic communication with stakeholders including customers, regulators, partners, and investors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPR, IABC, PRSA) is an added advantage
- 6 - 8 years experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations.
- Proven experience managing communication for large organizations or high-profile projects
- Industry-specific experience (e.g., oil & gas, energy, telecoms, finance) preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in content management systems (CMS), social media tools, and analytics platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
