This position is a bridge between strategy, operations and corporate communications—responsible for developing and delivering clear, impactful messaging about client business, compliance changes, and the integration of IT systems. You’ll elevate the company’s profile both internally and externally, while ensuring all messaging aligns with industry regulations, business processes, and technology deployment.
You will typically be in your late 30s to early 40s, with 10-15 years of working experience and strong IT fluency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies that articulate the company’s goals, technological modernization, and regulatory updates.
- Translate complex IT systems, digital tools, and automation initiatives into language that resonates with both specialised and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate communications around the adoption of new client platforms, digital systems, or changes in business regulations.
- Create compelling internal content—such as company newsletters, intranet posts, leadership updates, and town halls—to keep teams informed, aligned, and motivated.
- Craft and disseminate media materials (press releases, blog posts, website content) that highlight the company's tech-enabled customs solutions and compliance strengths.
- Support executive communications—preparing briefings, presentations, and stakeholder materials for town halls, webinars, or client-facing events.
- Act as a liaison among IT, operations, HR, compliance, and regional leadership to fine-tune messaging strategies and maintain consistency across businesses.
- Share best practices and communication learnings across different industry teams.
- Lead communication efforts during service disruptions, system downtimes, or regulatory challenges—ensuring transparent messaging that reassures stakeholders and maintains trust.
- Monitor performance metrics—such as open rates, engagement, and sentiment—and extract insights to refine business operations and communication strategies.

Ideal Experience & Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc. in Communications, Public Relations, International Trade, IT, Administration or a related field. Advanced degrees or credentials are advantageous.
- Professional Background:
- At least 5 years in corporate communications, ideally within customs, logistics, Government bodies in Nigeria or other highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience working with IT or digital transformation teams.
- Industry Familiarity:
- Understanding of business operations, trade compliance frameworks, and digital platforms (automation, e?filing, tracking systems).
- Experience with enterprise systems (such as intranet tools, CRM, or ERP, compliance software) is a valuable plus.
- At least 7 years in stakeholder engagement, ideally logistics, or other regulated industries.
