For over a decade, the NIKE Foundation, inspired by Nike's belief in human potential, has been focused on investing in girls. In 2008 the NIKE Foundation, in collaboration with NoVo Foundation, United Nations Foundation and other partners, launched the Girl Effect movement. With the support of over 150 partners in 90 countries, NIKE Foundation and the Girl Effect movement have positively impacted the lives of millions of girls and influenced investment in them. Girl Effect is now a new organisation, with continued support from the NIKE Foundation and multiple partners. The organisation works at scale and drives forward the ambition to reach 250 million girls living in poverty across the world by 2030, giving them the tools and access to the critical assets they need to achieve their full potential. Our mission? Change the world for girls and enable girls in their unique capacity to change the world.
Girl Effect is looking for someone to lead the design and delivery of content, products, and branded experiences for adolescent girls and young women in Nigeria.
The role will report directly to the Program lead, Nigeria and work closely with the global Create team at Girl Effect. - Oversee the Brand, Content and Product Creation Process for the Nigeria brand and any other products- working with technical experts and creators both in-house and out-sourced to create scripts, casting ideas, frameworks, and treatment designs that ensure that we are helping adolescent girls and young women from vulnerable contexts discover life-changing ways in which to navigate the complex challenges and opportunities they face
- Own the annual budget for Creative delivery in Nigeria - supporting the Program lead in Nigeria in collaboration with the Programs team in initial budget creation, forecasts, and changes.
- Lead the procurement and/or tender processes for external content creators and producers
- Actively problem-solving and fire-fighting on production timelines, conflicting priorities, and external factors - ensuring Girl Effect processes are followed and streamlined
- Work closely with our safeguarding team to ensure safeguarding measures and youth participation efforts are integrated into the production process and/or the product campaign
- Work closely with the Marketing (Audience Acquisition) team to ensure we meaningfully reach and grow our audiences.
- Ensure timeline management of the entire production process is done in a way that all stakeholders are sighted, and that pressure on delivery is minimized.
- Working closely with the global Create team and technical experts to evolve the content offerings to ensure they are delivering on key annual strategic goals and funder objectives. Key stakeholders include those working in Social & Behaviour Change Communication, Gender, Youth Participation, and Safeguarding.
