Job Brief:
- The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data related to the company's production processes.
- This role is crucial for identifying inefficiencies, optimizing production, improving operational performance, and supporting decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gather data from production lines, machines, and related software systems (ERP, MES).
- Analyze production output, quality metrics, downtime, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process.
- Propose solutions for process improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste, or lower costs.
- Create detailed reports and visualizations (using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) to present data insights to stakeholders such as production managers and senior leadership.
- Use statistical models to forecast production needs, inventory requirements, and staffing.
- Assist in capacity planning and scheduling to optimize resource allocation.
- Work closely with production teams, quality control, supply chain, and operations to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.
- Help ensure data-driven decision-making across different departments.
- Ensure that production data is accurate and consistent.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and work with IT teams to resolve data-related issues.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-4+ years) working as a Data Analyst or in a related role.
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
- Data Analysis Tools: Expertise in Excel, SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Production Knowledge: Understanding of production systems, manufacturing processes, or supply chain operations.
- Statistics and Forecasting: Proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and trend analysis.
- ERP/MES Systems: Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) to pull data for analysis.
- Problem-solving: Ability to analyze data to diagnose problems and recommend improvements.
