Job brief
We are looking for a passionate Data Collector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection using the provided data collection tools/devices across facilities in the assigned state after obtaining appropriate consent from participants.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of the data collected, and ensure it is consistent with established standards and requirements.
- Work effectively with the state lead and other collaborators to ensure timely delivery of project tasks and coordinate efforts to gather the necessary information.
- Ensure that data is properly categorized, labeled and organized for easy retrieval and analysis.
- Follow established procedures for data collection and ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Provide regular reports and updates on data collection progress and results to state lead and project manager.
- Submit daily data collection progress reports during the data collection period/transcription.
- Transcribe all qualitative data and translate where necessary.
Required qualifications:
- HND or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with data collection methods, tools such as ODK/Kobo Collect/SurveyCTO.
- Knowledge (reading, speaking, writing) of Hausa Language
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications like Ms Word, access.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines for data collection and privacy.
Note: Data collectors must be based in Adamawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Taraba, and Zamfara. Males and Females (age 20-35) should apply.
