Job Summary

  • A Social Media Marketer is responsible for implementing strategies to promote a brand, products, or services across various social media platforms and websites. 
  • Their goal is to engage audiences, drive traffic, and increase brand awareness and sales. Here are the key responsibilities typically associated with this role:

Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation:

  • Support in developing comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and audience research to inform on best strategy

Content Creation:

  • Create engaging and high-quality content, including text posts, images, videos, and stories.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely content delivery.

Platform Management:

  • Manage social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.

Sales:

  • Conversion of leads to customer providing adequate information and follow-up.
  • Engage prospects on products and services offered.

Support Campaign Planning and Execution:

  • Support in planning social media campaigns to promote products, services, or events and work to achieve set target.
  • Utilize paid advertising options on social media platforms to reach a wider audience.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track, analyze and report on social media and website performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, SEO/SEM and other analytics platforms.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster and manage online communities, encouraging interaction and engagement.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.

Brand Management:

  • Ensure all social media content aligns with the brand’s voice, tone, and style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, PR, customer service) to ensure cohesive brand messaging.

SEO and Content Optimization:

  • Optimize social media profiles and content for search engines.
  • Use hashtags, keywords, and other tactics to improve discover-ability.
  • Work with designer, software engineers, and other team members to create and curate content.
