Job Summary:
- The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing our digital marketing strategies to generate leads, enhance brand awareness, and drive engagement across all our service offerings. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of the IT industry and digital marketing best practices in the Nigerian market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive digital marketing campaigns aligned with Vennote Technologies' business objectives for each service line (ITSM, Managed Services, Software Dev, Cybersecurity, AI, Consulting, Training).
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the Nigerian IT sector.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital marketing activities and track performance against these goals.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Search Engine Marketing (SEM):
- Manage and optimize website SEO (on-page, off-page, technical) to improve organic search rankings for relevant keywords.
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads) to drive targeted traffic and leads.
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis.
Social Media Marketing:
- Develop and execute social media strategies across relevant platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) to build brand authority, engage with the IT community, and generate leads.
- Create, curate, and schedule compelling content (text, image, video, infographics) that resonates with B2B and B2C audiences for IT services and solutions.
- Monitor social media trends, engage with followers, and manage online reputation.
Content Marketing:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create high-quality, engaging content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, website copy, infographics, and video scripts that highlight Vennote's expertise in various IT domains.
- Optimize content for SEO and user engagement and distribute content effectively across digital channels.
Email Marketing:
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotional emails, lead nurturing sequences) to engage prospects and customers.
- Manage email lists, segment audiences, and analyze campaign performance.
Website Management & Analytics:
- Regularly update and optimize website content for user experience and conversion.
- Utilize Google Analytics and other tools to track website traffic, user behavior, and campaign performance.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for website and campaign optimization.
Lead Generation & Nurturing:
- Implement strategies to capture and nurture leads through various digital channels.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure lead quality and seamless handover.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on digital marketing campaign performance, ROI, and key metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative strategies to enhance digital marketing effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
- 5 years of proven experience in a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role, preferably within the IT, Tech, or B2B services sector in Nigeria.
- Demonstrable expertise in SEO/SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and web analytics.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management platforms (e.g Hootsuite, Sprout Social), email marketing platforms and CMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of current digital marketing trends and best practices, especially within the Nigerian context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling, clear, and concise content.
- Ability to translate complex IT concepts into engaging marketing messages for diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Creative, proactive, and results oriented.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for basic visual content creation is a plus.
- Understanding of the IT services landscape (ITSM, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, AI, Software Dev, etc.) is highly desirable.
