Job Description

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide vision and leadership for the development and implementation of IT initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Recruit, train, and develop IT staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of all IT systems.
  • Manage and prioritize IT projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate IT-related risks.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring effective service delivery and value for money.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with technology vendors.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Drive innovation initiatives to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Ensure IT policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks.

Qualifications
Education:

  • First Degree in any relevant technical discipline.
  • Professional membership or certification in NSE and/or COREN or equivalent international certification
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Nigeria Electricity Distribution Chain/ or similar establishment, with a minimum of 6 years in supervisory roles.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in a similar role including in managing major metering projects, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Energy accounting with 5 years been spent at a supervisory level.
