Job Description
- Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide vision and leadership for the development and implementation of IT initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Recruit, train, and develop IT staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of all IT systems.
- Manage and prioritize IT projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate IT-related risks.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring effective service delivery and value for money.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with technology vendors.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Drive innovation initiatives to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
- Ensure IT policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks.
Qualifications
Education:
- First Degree in any relevant technical discipline.
- Professional membership or certification in NSE and/or COREN or equivalent international certification
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Nigeria Electricity Distribution Chain/ or similar establishment, with a minimum of 6 years in supervisory roles.
Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in a similar role including in managing major metering projects, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Energy accounting with 5 years been spent at a supervisory level.
