Job Summary
- The Head of Information Technology (HIT) shall be responsible for daily operations of technology and software-related systems and in providing ongoing service to internal staff as well as other stakeholders.
- This role is critical to driving digital transformation, ensuring IT infrastructure resilience, redefining efficiency via process automations, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives in a highly performance-driven environment.
- The ideal candidate will have robust experience in both Information Technology and Software Automations, with a proven ability to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative IT solutions and systems.
- The Head of Information Technology shall coordinate the activities of all members of units in the department and the effective overseeing of the Company’s IT infrastructure and process automations and ensure end-user support is delivered on time, with quality, and within budget.
- Oversee all IT installations, maintenance, upgrades, and continuously improve the ITH operating environment and advise appropriately on improvements to the IT environment. HIT shall also oversee the data centres and DR sites (where applicable).
- HIT will lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, highly available IT infrastructure architectures that meet ITH Holding’s business objectives and SLAs.
- The HIT will provide leadership to all the respective members to ensure the delivery of their various roles. The HIT will be responsible for the development of the team members and appropriately measure their performance by the company-established procedures for staff performance measurement.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate and oversee all the Internal IT activities.
- Lead and manage the IT team in delivering reliable and secure IT services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, computers, software etc.).
- Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and system backups.
- Oversee user support services, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate with department heads to assess technological needs, recommend and implement effective solutions
- Lead the identification and implementation of technology solutions?that enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and business intelligence.
- Ensure proper reporting and communication to stakeholders regarding IT and software
- Ensure?system uptime and business continuity?by overseeing IT service delivery, disaster recovery planning, and incident response processes
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery in line with the company’s OLA
- Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery by monitoring KPIs and user satisfaction metrics.
- Mentor and develop the internal IT team, fostering a high-performance and innovation-driven culture
- Manage IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Ensure efficiency in vendor engagement and procurement processes of IT equipment and services.

- Constantly provide reports on ongoing activities for the management on all aspects of the unit.
- Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks.
- Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
- Ensure efficient repair and maintenance of all IT gadgets and tools.
- Perform other duties that the organization may assign.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' post qualification experience in IT role.
- Proven experience in IT leadership.
- Proven experience with integration tools, APIs, middleware platforms, and scripting languages such as PowerShell
- Working knowledge and experience working with Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, AWS, VMWare, Public & Private Cloud
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in IT systems, networks, ERP systems, Saas, automation, DevOps and software systems and tools.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and project management
- Experience with cybersecurity, data protection regulations, and compliance standards.
- In-depth knowledge of?industry compliance standards, such as ISO, NIST, etc.
- Good leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with end-user support and software testing.
