Job Responsibilities include:
- Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls to protect the organization’s network.
- Implement firewall policies and rules to ensure secure access controls.
- Building firewalls into network infrastructures
- Carrying out Penetration test on IT infrastructure
- Monitor security logs and alerts for signs of suspicious activity.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and other teams to ensure security is integrated into all processes and systems
Key skills
- Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, and networks
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
- A forensic approach to challenges
- A deep understanding of how hackers work and the ability to keep up with the fast pace of change in the criminal cyber-underworld
- Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures
- Experience in managing a SIEM and EDR
Qualification
- B.Sc./HND Computer science or related discipline
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience as an Information Security Administrator.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
- Relevant Certifications such as CISSP,ISO 27001 lead implementer etc. would be an advantage.
