  • The job holder will be critical in ensuring our IT's infrastructure's smooth operation, security and scalability, including a mix of on-premises deployments, private cloud environment and Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of the hospital's IT infrastructure.
  • Implement strategic plans to ensure the IT infrastructure's continuous availability, performance, scalability, and security across all hospital sites.
  • Manage the migration of on-premises workloads between multiple Cloud & Local Environments (Private cloud, Azure & On-premise) ensuring efficient and secure transitions.
  • Monitor and assess security threats and implement appropriate measures to safeguard the hospital's data and systems.
  • Implement best practices for infrastructure management, including monitoring, maintenance, and incident response.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans to ensure minimal disruption during an outage.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure documentation library.
  • Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Plan and manage infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including IT staff, department heads, and hospital leadership when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the IT team.
  • Maintain budget for the IT infrastructure

Key Performance Indicators/Performance Goals

  • Maintain an uptime of 98% or higher for critical systems and infrastructure.
  • Achieve an average incident response time of less than x minutes
  • Complete all infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on data center operations and cloud computing.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g ITIL, Linux, Azure or AWS certifications) are a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing on-premises, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proficient knowledge of AD DS, Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services and administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux Operating systems and applications.
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices and experience with security technologies.
