Job Overview
- We are looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist with a strong background in Networking and Property Management Software (PMS) to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, providing technical support to staff, and maintaining the hotel’s network infrastructure and PMS.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management
- Design, implement, and maintain the hotel’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
Property Management Software (PMS) Support
- Install, configure, and maintain the hotel’s PMS to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide training and support to hotel staff on PMS usage and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PMS-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with vendors for software updates, patches, and technical support.
Technical Support
- Provide first-line IT support to hotel staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with the implementation of new IT systems and technologies.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
System Maintenance and Upgrades
- Perform regular maintenance on IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations as needed.
- Monitor and manage backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
- Prepare and submit reports on IT system performance, issues, and resolutions.
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies relevant to the hospitality industry.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proven expertise in networking and property management software.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security measures.
- Experience with PMS systems such as Ezee Absolute, Ezee Optimus
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and vendors effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical issues promptly.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in system configurations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) or IT support (e.g., CompTIA A+).
- Experience with cloud-based systems and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
