Manager, Regional Quality Audit at IHS Towers

Job Purpose

Ensure projects and initiatives within the mandate of the Technical Quality Management (TQM) function conform to good practice and contracted quality standards while achieving First Time Right (FTR) and speed of execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create value in the Request for Integration (RFI) value-chain for green energy, rural telephony, and fiber within the mandate of TQM by proactively engaging all stakeholders on quality standards and supporting RFI audits across assigned region.
  • Allocate sites to Regional Quality Audit Specialists and audit vendors (where necessary) for relevant audit tasks. Seek approval for allocation of sites to audit vendors if required.
  • Collate, review and share accurate reports with the Senior Manager-TQM (Regional Audits) for approval.
  • Conduct, analyze and submit accurate technical load verification reports for sites with reference to Customer Upgrade Request Form (CURF).
  • Support regional quality audit improvement drive by providing training on quality compliance and processes to relevant stakeholders regularly.
  • Ensure timely validation, acceptance, and submission of quality audit reports by Regional Quality Audit Specialists and audit vendors.
  • Monitor trends in regional audit outcomes for necessary escalation and communication to the Senior Manager-TQM (Regional Audits).
  • Ensure deliveries are in line with the relevant interested parties as defined in the TQM framework.
  • Update and share regional audit records with relevant stakeholders after every audit.
  • Work with rollout, green energy and other relevant internal teams to ensure seamless transfer of all accepted sites to the Operations team.
  • Conduct and manage all assigned spot check quality audits (green energy, PPM, diesel, corrective maintenance, breakdowns, load verification etc.) to ensure compliance with requisite standards. Analyze and provide timely reports.
  • Ensure effective issue routing and communication to regional and/or HQ action parties and follow through till closure.
  • Maintain an accurate database of all infrastructure and technical installations for all sites in the TQM Shared Folder in readiness to provide any required report anytime.
  • Utilize data from Affectli to check trends in performance of encumbered sites and collaborate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to resolve identified issues while effectively reporting and tracking progress till closure.
  • Ensure prompt update of RedCube database by team members in the region and report on completion per region to the Senior Manager-TQM (Regional Audits).
  • Ensure integrity, consistency and timely update of TQM database and data structure.
  • Conduct quality check of materials, as may be assigned, at required locations in the regions and report findings.
  • Collaborate with PMO, Rollout, Green Energy, GICL, and other relevant functions to ensure required checklists are created and communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager-TQM (Regional Audit)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any relevant discipline.
  • +8 years’ relevant work experience in the telecoms industry.
