Job Description

  • We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic newsletter marketer to join our team and help us grow our subscriber base and meet revenue targets.
  • You will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing marketing campaigns to promote our newsletter and attract potential advertisers in the agribusiness sector.
  • As a newsletter marketer, you will work closely with the editorial team to understand the content and value proposition of our newsletter, and craft compelling messages and offers to target different segments of our audience.
  • You will also monitor and analyze the performance of your campaigns, and optimize them based on data and feedback.

Responsibilities
As a newsletter marketer, you will:

  • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns to grow our newsletter subscriber base and retention rate
  • Create and execute lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns to attract and convert potential advertisers in the agribusiness sector
  • Segment and personalize our email list based on various criteria, such as industry, location, behavior, and interests
  • Write and design engaging and relevant email content, including subject lines, headlines, body copy, and calls to action
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiments to optimize email performance and improve key metrics
  • Analyze and report on the results and effectiveness of email marketing campaigns, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Stay updated on the latest email marketing best practices, trends, and technologies, and apply them to our newsletter marketing strategy.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in email marketing, preferably for a newsletter or a media company
  • Proficiency in email marketing tools and platforms, such as Mailchimp, Substack, or ConvertKit
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with the ability to write engaging and persuasive headlines and body copy
  • A good understanding of the agribusiness industry and its trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • A data-driven mindset, with the ability to track, measure, and report on key metrics, such as open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, and revenue
  • A creative and innovative approach, with the ability to test new ideas and strategies, and learn from failures
  • A collaborative and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work well with other departments and stakeholders.
