Job Summary

We are in need of a skilled digital marketer who will be responsible for the planning and management of all digital marketing channels and campaigns at Dangote Cement Plc. The successful candidate will be tasked with creating and executing extensive digital marketing strategies for the organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing digital marketing strategies - Devise comprehensive digital marketing strategies aimed at achieving the organization's business objectives. This may entail identifying target audiences, choosing suitable digital channels, and producing engaging content.
  • Managing social media presence - Oversee DCP's presence on popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others. This entails developing and planning posts, addressing comments and messages, and evaluating social media metrics to enhance performance.
  • Content creation and Management - Participate in the creation of diverse forms of content, such as photos, videos, infographics, and more. Ensure that the content aligns with the values and culture of the organization. Provide assistance in managing content across other digital platforms, such as the website and DMS, among others.
  • Search engine optimization (SEO): Tasks include optimizing the company's website and other digital assets to enhance their search engine rankings. This requires conducting keyword research, implementing on-page optimization techniques, actively building backlinks, and keeping abreast of changes in search engine algorithms.
  • Paid advertising – Assist 3rd party individuals in utilizing paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and others to develop and oversee advertising campaigns. Additionally, establish digital ad campaigns, improve targeting, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Analytics and reporting: Track and analyze the performance of different digital marketing activities, collect and interpret data, and generate reports to communicate findings and suggestions.
  • Relationship management - Assist in the development and upkeep of connections with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders in order to create brand recognition and stimulate marketing efforts.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends - Digital marketers must keep themselves updated on current trends and best practices in digital marketing to ensure that their strategies remain effective and in line with the latest developments.
  • Collaboration with other teams - Collaborate with Sales, HR, Sustainability, Compliance, and Customer support teams to ensure their digital representation efforts are in line with the overall business objectives.
  • Championing the increase of awareness, engagement, and conversions through digital channels, while also making a significant contribution to the overall success of the business.

Requirements

Academic / Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additionally, a minimum of 9 - 11years of relevant experience in a similar role is necessary.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and techniques, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media marketing, and display advertising.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience managing and maintaining websites and other digital platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative digital marketing ideas.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
