Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust is a public health nonprofit organization working to keep people healthy and safe. Position Overview:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Program Manager to lead our public health initiatives in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Community Health.
- In this role, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs aimed at strengthening Nigeria's ability to provide safe, quality healthcare to all patients and prevent the spread of disease in communities.
Tasks
- Develop and implement strategic plans, projects, and programs to strengthen health systems, with a focus on IPC and community health.
- Expand network of Health Champions by training community influencers as implementers of infectious disease prevention and healthcare service uptake and implementing training programs for healthcare workers, first responders, and community members on IPC practices, emergency response protocols, and community health promotion.
- Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate and support IPC, patient safety, quality assurance and community health initiatives policies, strategies, plans and activities.
- Support advocacy campaigns to drive IPC systems change at health facilities across the country.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IPC and Community Health projects, programs and initiatives, measuring success through key metrics.
- Prepare reports, and presentations, to communicate project and program outcomes and impact to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Supervise and support Program and Project Officers, including providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Requirements
- Master's degree in public health, health management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infectious diseases, community health or related field, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines and best practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing community mobilization strategies for public health emergencies and primary healthcare service delivery.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups.
