Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our team and oversee the construction of water features such as waterfalls, pools, and fountains.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of proposed water features.
- Develop detailed construction plans and drawings, including elevations, sections, and layouts.
- Prepare material take-offs and cost estimates.
- Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
- Monitor the progress of construction activities, including excavation, foundation work, waterproofing, and installation of pumps, filters, and lighting.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Inspect the quality of workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Conduct quality control checks on materials and construction processes.
- Perform water testing to ensure water quality and chemical balance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction or operation.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and final project documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in construction, preferably in the water features industry.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
