Through our media work, we saw it necessary to bridge regional gaps, by initiating programs in Latin America to promote our shared values for justice and equality in climate justice advocacy.

Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy to increase our online presence and improve the reach of our activities & social impact online. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
  • Define most important social media KPIs.
  • Manage and oversee social media content.
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer.
  • Engage in formal & informal training/learning to improve your skill and competence.
  • Work with related team/personnel to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Collaborate with related team/personnel to design tailored content.
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more of experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Skillful in using social media for brand awareness and impressions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Experience with audience persona research.
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs.
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate picture and video editing skills.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal, presentation and digital communication skills.
  • Must know how to edit/create content using Canva and Adobe Express (Spark).
